From a career which started back in 2003 on the London Underground, a wealth of knowledge has been gained.  Design Coordination within the Network Rail Framework Alliance and supervision of construction works.  Construction of Markinch Integrated Transport Interchange, construction of Braid Burn Flood Prevention Scheme, followed by construction of Tullis Russell Biomass Combined Heat and Power project, then construction of Carraig Gheal Windfarm.

It was off at the next stop as Operations Manager for a Fireworks company and a year at Tullis Russell Paper Manufacturers for manufacturing experience.

Back on track, two and half years was spent at the Forth Replacement Crossing as Quality Manager for the installation of Stay Cables.  Wearing two hats at the same time, for the new UK business, I created a Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and Health & Safety System (H&SMS).  I also discovered the exciting world of Post-Tensioning!!  I integrated CARES (Certification Authority for Reinforing Steel) requirements into the training, procedures, audits and manuals of the three systems.  I gained success with certification to PT1, PT2, PT9 and PT10 before leaving full-time employment.

Next stop, Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie-Tipperty project to build a 58km road in accordance with Specification of Highways Works.

Is this the end of the line?  No.

There's still so much to learn about, to experience and to share.  My philosophy is easy; to understand the problem areas, consider the context, constraints and activities of the business and to offer simple and logical steps in order to achieve sustainable change.  Easy.

I am recognised as a Chartered Quality Professional Member of the Chartered Quality Institue (CQI) and maintain my Continuous Professional Development (CPD).  I have been a Graduate Member of Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) since reading Civil Engineering.  I have Affiliate Member status to IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) maintaining discretionary CPD.  Lastly, I am studying towards a NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management with a view of gaining Practitioner Member of IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment) yes, you guessed it, maintaining CPD.

I believe in self-investment; my time and effort is my motivation to succeed and improve.

So, that is me, Donna.  Feel free to contact me for any advice or service I can provide
